I have been to Ikea yet, but there they only sell the plastic stuff. There must be a place in Chengdu where you can buy the real ones?!

1. One Ikea Antilop Highchair in white, with accompanying tray. My son's used it for about a year, and its still in good and clean condition. (http://www.ikea.com/cn/en/catalog/products/20140047). Self carry, and going for RMB 120. That's about half the price at Ikea here.

2. Gymboree lessons. I have 10 to sell, and will sell them individually or as a set. Each class is 45min, and held in English and Mandarin. Classes for 3 - 5 year old is 1.5hrs, and is equivalent to 2 regular classes. No expiry date. I'm letting them go at 100RMB per class. Its an approximate RMB150 per class at the centre.

18 November 2008 - CIWC Christmas Bazaar Photo Update
Yesterday I got the photo prints back from the lab and I must say they look great. They are at the framers now being cut for cream-colored or black matts, depending on what color best suits the image. I made 46 prints of 20 images. Ten of the images have already been sold and I'm hoping that many more people will pre-order to get an idea of which prints are the most popular. Of course, it will be much easier to judge which ones are nice when you actually see them at the Bazaar. The prints are large, standard size is A3 (2 times a regular piece of copy paper). In case the image you like best is sold out you can put your name on an order list and  I'll get the picture to you before Christmas. 

Many people have asked me to recommend a good framer here in Chengdu. I will bring a stack of business cards for a framer I recommend: Shilin Muyi near Rainbow Bridge (the big crossing downtown where the furniture department stores are located): 37 Beisi, tel: 028-86614510. Mobile: 13708007421.  There are also good framers at Songxianqiao Antique Market, underneath the highway in the souvenir shops near the Kempinski and on "framer's street", No 99 West Zhonglieci Road (near the Greenland Hotel).

Dear Ladies, 
A working single mom with three children (elementary and middle school) is about to relocate to Chengdu in December. Since she will work full-time and also will travel out of town a lot she needs a 100% reliable ayi with some English skills who at best will live with her. The lady will base her decision whether to settle in Chengdu or not on the availabilty of a good ayi. The payment is not too much of an issue as long as the ayi is skilled and absolutely reliable.

I have a mani/pedi girl, who's clean and good and very honest. She's part-timing to earn more money. 
Her rates are below:
manicure : 35RMB 
pedicure : 55 RMB 
arm massage : 40RMB (half hour)
feet massage : 40RMB (half hour)
transport fee : $25, if you're in the South. It'll be abit more if you're in the city/waterfront area. She charges only what it costs her to cab.
